Thank you, I almost got a heart attack, Dora, thank you from the bottom of my heart. We changed it; it was glitch in while loading the rates. 2 People were able to reserve at the "$10.00 rate, but I called them and let them know that there was a glitch and the reservation was cancelled. One man said he will take the Hotel to the Better business bureau.
Dora, I asked him where in the world he will get a rate of $10 a night. Eventually he took a Standard room at $200.00 per night.
Without the Genares Team on our side watching over us like angels, this whole thing would have been a fiasco.

Penny was great - very personal, approachable with excellent customer service skills. She was the first agent who ever asked me how I had heard about the Hutton Hotel
Penny did an excellent job representing the Hutton Hotel and put a lot of emphasis in pointing out the features and amenities of the Hutton Hotel. She did not attempt to up sell but once asked about it, Penny did a fine job up selling a King Suite to me.
The Rates quoted were at the correct price point of $159 for a Deluxe King and $209 for a King Suite.
The phone conversation was one of the longest and personable ones I have experienced so far and Penny definitely created a very memorable interaction.
Please congratulate Penny on a great job!

It is great to see a lot of the new enhancements to the system. We definitely have seen ADR growth in the negotiated rates from the Ranking Order.
This has allowed us to included room types that we were not able to include prior. Thank you for getting this in place for us.
The rate buckets have also been nice however I would like to see it be a little more conducive to revenue management. The main reasons for buckets are so you can manage/change several rate codes at a time; currently all you can do is open and close the rate codes by the bucket. It would be great if you were able to close room types, rates, restrictions, tiers, derived amounts by buckets. Would it be possible to get this built?

Genares is one of the best GDS providers I've worked with within my 27 year in the industry!
In over two years now, our volume of business percentage has grown through bookings via the GDS.
I have been assigned my own support account manager and we have over the years established such a great working relationship. She is always here for me and also when I'm out of the office she is the contact person regarding any issues with loading rates, opening/closing the system etc. Although the property can control basically everything own their own through the easy Genares system; my account manager has always proven to be our second hand person. Genares has a new Director of Voice (Central Reservations) and he is also great to work with. This is what I call a great support team!!
Like many systems; in the beginning you experience the quirks if you will and we had very few issues with Genares.
They have and are always establishing new and productive ways of enhancing the GDS to make it more user friendly for their clients. I have as well given my suggestions to them and the support team never says "that won't work!" instead they look into the idea and determine ways to make it work. Now that's what I like the most; a provider who listens and takes into consideration what the hotels needs are. Recently we had a One-way interface installed and I can't stop talking about the ways this has helped me. My reservations are much, more accurate regarding names, dates, rates and I've also been able to reduce my labor which are just a few ways that has been improved by this system.

To begin, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the 3 of you for spending Thursday afternoon with Scott and myself to see the Genares Story, prima facia. You are probably the best kept secret in the hotel industry and I will readily assure you that we will do business in the near future. The pricing model that Ray presented is acceptable to me and I have not had time to review the language of the contract, before I present it to Gaines for signature.
January and February is a travel time for the Sturtevant brothers (4) and sister and he won't be back in the office until the 14th of this month, so bear with me in the interim. I will blind copy Ray with my summation of our meeting as a trip report to Gaines and a copy to Joe Morgan, Sr. VP Operations for the company, a 45 year veteran.
Lastly, I would be remiss to tell you that the opportunities you present coupled with a couple of new wrinkles that we thought of on the way back to DFW will make this a very successful marriage between our companies. I am meeting with Kent on Monday and Tuesday and would like to present your booking engine for the independent web sites. Kent has been looking for an alternative to Secure Res and I can take you over the top with him as a booking engine alternative; that in turn should open the GDS and broaden your business model. We will discuss this more next week by phone.
